Omorovicza Cleansing Foam Review

Just when I thought that no cleansers can beat my beloved Sulwhasoo Gentle Foaming Cleanser, I found out about this cleansing foam from Omorovicza. Not familiar with the brand? Omorovicza is a Hungarian brand focusing on incorporating unique ingredients from Hungary such as the healing water of Budapest into their skincare. There are so many positive reviews on this product, and people are raving about how awesome this brand is. So, of course, I gave it a try although it's way out of my budget. Well, when you're a beauty junkie, you sometimes spend more on your face than on food lol. Anyway, thank god my $75 didn't go to waste because the Omorovicza cleansing foam is da bomb - it's as good as the Sulwhasoo one if not better. The Sulwhasoo one is great but not very travel-friendly with the pump packaging, so this is definitely better in that aspect.

Omorovicza cleansing foam promises to clean your skin without stripping of its natural moisture. It doesn't contain harmful sulfates as a cleansing agent like many cleansers do. The Sulwhasoo one doesn't either, so I can tell this lack of sulfates make a huge difference in performance - avoid sulfates as best as you can! My order came in an impressive hard-box packaging. Everything from them is really luxury, down to their delivery box lol.I still keep the box as a storage box. Recycle, people :)

The cleansing foam comes in a fat white tube with a secure screw cap. It is travel-friendly although its pretty big.

One unique point of this cleanser is its baby blue color. It has an aerated, light consistency - not dense or creamy. It lathers up nicely into a rich foam. I don't know why but this sometimes doesn't lather up quite well as it normally does. It feels very refreshing on my skin, and it has an aromatic spa-like smell. I love, love its smell cause it makes me feel kind of pampered lol. The foam rinses off easily ad doesn't leave any residue. My face would feel cleaned, hydrated, and softened afterwards. Never once does my face feel stripped. After using this for over a month, my skin texture becomes more even and my skincare products absorb better. I haven't experienced any breakouts from using this so I'd say it's good for sensitive skin. Though, it might not be for you if you're allergic to fragrance in skincare.

I did an experiment to test the cleansing power of this cleanser, and as you can see, it cannot remove all makeup. Some residue from eyeshadow and liner is still visible. If you wear makeup, cleansing oil/cream/water is necessary. I don't think any facial cleanser can completely remove makeup - if there is one, that means it's too harsh for your skin. So, I always recommend double cleansing for healthy and acne-free skin :)

QUICK TAKE
  • Cleans without stripping skin off its natural moisture
  • Sulfates-free
  • Aromatic smell - people with allergy to fragrance should avoid
  • Skin feels hydrated and soft after cleansing
  • Slightly brightens complexion
  • No breakouts and irritations
  • Refreshing
  • Skin absorbs other products well afterwards
  • Skin texture becomes more even and soft
  • Sometimes doesn't lather up as nicely

Is it the best deal out there? No. There are probably other cleansers that are just as good and only cost a small fraction of this cleanser (like the Sulwhasoo one). However, if your wallet can handle this, I highly recommend it - it's worth every penny. It's become my holy grail along with the Sulwhasoo foaming cleanser :) I use them interchangeably because, you know, I'll have to save up a bit before I can purchase a second tube.

  1. Hmm, you dont need a facial cleanser to remove makeup. I actually use a eye cotton pad and put olive oil on it and wipe off the makeup. It comes off easily and does wonders, and if there's still a little bit more I use cotton swab to get corners and edges. Then I use cleanser to wash the oil away. Hope this helps

  2. Yes, that's one good way to remove makeup :) Olive oil is definitely a great alternative to makeup remover/cleanser and it's natural. Thanks for sharing the tip!
