Innisfree F/W 2015 Real Fit Lipstick 'No. 6' and 'No. 8' Review & Swatches

Cheers to the first post of 2016, and we're starting off with one of my favorite Korean brands! Whenever Innisfree releases a new lip product, I rarely misses the chance to give it a try. I've tried many of their various lip product formulas and I gotta say they are quite decent while being affordable. So when they released their latest lipstick collection for F/W 2015, I did not hesitate to add them to my huge Innisfree stash. There are so many pretty shades that would be gorgeous for the season so it was rather hard to make a decision. I ended up with two very different shades that are perfect for daily wear - one a bright milky orange and another a deep rosy pink.

REAL FIT LIPSTICK

Brand: Innisfree
Product Type: Lipstick
Shade: No. 6, 8

Retail Price: KRW 12,000

Innisfree Real Fit Lipstick has a cashmere-like lightweight formula that promises perfect fit, pigmented colors, long lasting wear, and hydration from camellia oil. It is available in 10 shades inspired by the Fall/Winter season.

I chose #6 'Coral Latte' and #8 'Rosy Latte' as they look perfect for daily wear. #6 is one of the Innisfree's recommended shades while #8 is the main shade of the Real Fit lipstick collection.

Innisfree's lipsticks usually come in a very simple, plain packaging that screams eco brand. This collection is no different. It has a white tube packaging and a clear band at the bottom to indicate shades.

The lipsticks have a very smooth creamy texture that glides on effortlessly and feels lightweight on lips. The pigmentation is also excellent, and they have a sheen finish that is comfortable to wear. The product is considered quite moisturizing although I feel like the hydration wears off after 3-4 hours of wear. And, depending on the shades, it can sometimes slightly accentuate dryness on lips - darker shades tend to be more forgiving on dry lips and thus apply more flawlessly. Therefore, it is recommended to prime lips well with a lip balm before hand. Wear time wise, it is pretty long-lasting as it would last well for 5-6 hours without eating/drinking. If you eat/drink, reapplication will likely be required as this does not survive well through meals.

#6 Coral Latte is a pretty milky orange-coral shade which is a prefect alternative for pink or MLBB shades in daily makeup routine. It gives off a feminine look that is not boring and is definitely suitable of a wide range of skin tone. It does not look weird on my yellow-undertone skin either. Since it is a light shade, it tends to accentuate dry flakes on lips, so it is imperative that you create a smooth canvas with lip care products beforehand. Otherwise, this is a flattering shade and one of my favorites amongst my Innisfree stash.

#8 Rosy Latte is a unique shade of pink, in my opinion. It is a milky rose color that is neither too warm or too cool, so it suits a variety of complexion. I actually have many pink lipsticks in my collection but this one definitely stands out. It is a flattering shade that is perfect for everyday wear. Plus, it applies smoothly without accentuating dry flakes so it's hassle-free and easy to wear.

QUICK TAKE

  • Lightweight and comfortable to wear
  • Great pigmentation
  • Glides on easily
  • Smooth creamy texture with sheen finish
  • Moderately moisturizing
  • Long-lasting but does not survive well through meals
  • Lighter shades may accentuate dry flakes
  • Does not sink into lip lines
  • Flattering shades that suit a variety of complexion

Bottom Line: This is a decent lipstick collection from Innisfree although I wouldn't say it has any wow factors to it. What I like most about this product are the pigmentation and the texture/finish. I just wish it would provide more and longer lasting hydration. All in all, this is a great affordable collection with unique flattering shade selections - definitely worth a try.

Where to Shop? I got mine from Jolse. This is also available at Innisfree stores and online at IBuyBeauti and Rose Rose Shop.
