As a person with huge pores, especially on my nose, blackheads are my worst skin enemy. No matter what I do, they just keep coming back. The sad truth is, blackheads cannot be permanently removed for us oily skin folks. The best thing we can do is taking good care of our pores and regularly removing blackheads with effective, gentle products. Today, I'd like to do a review on one of the best blackhead removal products out there in the market. Skinmiso 3-Step Pore Beauty Nose Pack is a 3-step blackhead removal for nose area. It claims to effectively and gently remove blackheads, unlike other methods of blackhead removal which can actually damage your skin (nose strips, squeezing, etc.). For a 4-week program, which I got, the product comes with: 4 sheets of step 1 masks (cleans pores of whiteheads and blackheads with plant extracts), 4 sheets of step 2 masks (contracts pores with witch hazel and provides hydration to the treated area), and a small tube of pore essence (controlling sebum and absorbs oil for clear, shine-free skin).

There are a lot of plant extracts in the ingredients, with witch hazel as the main player. The step 2 mask contains a high amount of alcohol, so those who react badly to alcohol should take caution. The pore essence is mostly made up of silicone to minimize the appearance of pores and provide silky feel to the skin.

Here is how you use this 3-step blackhead removal pack:

1. Wash your face and apply the first mask. Remove the mask after 10 minutes and cleans away the dissolved blackheads with cotton swipes (and a comedo remover if you have one).
2. Lightly wash the treated area and apply the second mask. Remove the mask after 10 minutes and massage the remaining product into your skin.
3. Apply the pore essence and then it's done!

Although the process does take longer than other methods, it's pretty easy and effortless. More importantly, it doesn't pull you skin like nose strips and ending up enlarging your pores and irritating the treated area.

I really love the result this product gives me. It works as great as my favorite blackhead removal mask from CNP but costs less. It does a good job dissolving blackheads on my nose, which I can then easily remove with cotton swipes. For blackheads that are very persistent, I use a comedo remover on them and they come off with ease. The result - clean pores! One thing to point out, though, is that the second mask stings quite a bit for the first 2 minutes or so. It might be because I have sensitive skin that sometimes react negatively to alcohol in skin care. However, my skin did not flare up or become irritated after the process, so I guess the sting is just a temporary reaction. After the second step, I feel that my pores are contracted and the treated area are moisturized. At the last step, I apply the essence, which feels very silicone-y. I don't really notice a long-term effect of the essence since I only use it once a week for 4 weeks (so 4 applications). I think the essence is intended to provide temporary pore minimizing and oil absorbing result.

This product is a must-try for anyone with persisting blackhead concern. The best you can do is keeping your pores clean by thoroughly cleansing your skin at the end of the day and regularly removing the accumulated gunk, which this 3-step pack works wonder at. Compared to this, I like the CNP one better as it seems to be gentler on my skin. However, Skinmiso is more budget-friendly and works just as great :)
