NOTD: Transparent Ombre Nails With Laneige Water Drop Nail

Laneige Water Drop Nail is the limited edition nail lacquer from Laneige. It comes in 5 different shades and is basically a tinted polish. I like the idea of using transparent polishes to create ombre nails so I bought 2 of the shades to test it out. The result is not perfect - I'm still mastering the technique lol - but I'm getting there.

Korean Cosmetics Haul Ft. Laneige

I was browsing around Laneige website last week and found out that they have released some new products, including the renewed version of the famous Water Bank Line. With all the renewed lines and the recent expansion into American market, it seems to me like Laneige is being upgraded. Anyhow, these are what I got:

Mini ASOS Haul

ASOS had a sale a while ago so I took advantage of that and got myself some new Spring sweaters. It's eventually warm enough to get by without a jacket so I was looking for sweaters with nice details. ASOS Sweater With Lace Up Back Detail in Cream (now $20.70) has such a lovely lace up detail at the back. It's not too revealing so I can wear this comfortably to school without people staring at me. What I love about New Look Floral Gem Sweater in Pink (now $27.28) is the jewels on the front. It looks expensive but I the truth is I got it for only 27 bucks! River Island Crew Neck Sweater in Oxblood (now $35.75) may look nothing special at first sight but you'll see its cool patterns if you look carefully. The subtle detail adds "chicness" to the sweater. The sale was such a good deal that I could not pass up. Some stuffs are still on sale on the website so head over there before they're gone!

"Cheon Song Yi's Lipsticks" - YSL Rouge Pur Couture '52 Rosy Coral' & Iope Water Fit Lipstick '44 Forever Pink' - Reviews & Swatches

The most popular Korean drama at the moment can be none other than 'My Love from the Star.' Apart from the unique storyline, the lead actress Gianna Jun's fashion and make-up have become the talk of the town (she was even sponsored by top designer brands such as Hermes, Chanel, and the like). In the drama, she is seen sporting many shades of bright lipsticks, and basically whatever she wore got sold out amazingly fast. The two lipsticks she actually used - the YSL Rouge Pur Couture in 52 Rosy Coral and Iope Water Fit Lipstick in 44 Forever Pink - are super hard to find. But, luckily, I ran into some. Read on for the reviews and swatches of these two.

April Beauty & Fragrance Wishlist

  1. Foreo Luna for Sensitive/ Normal Skin ($199 at Sephora)
I used to use Clarisonic daily in my cleansing routine but I didn't see much improvement in my skin texture so I stopped using it. Plus, replacing brush heads every 3 months or so was pretty annoying. I've heard that the Foreo Luna works much better and is more gentle than the Clarisonic brush so I really want to try it out.

  2. Laneige Bright Renew Original Serum ($45 at Target)
Laneige is my favorite Korean skin care brand. I'm so glad they finally become available in the U.S. I've always been a fan of their basic care line (best toner ever). After my trip to Cali, my skin has become quite dull and darkened. This serum promises to brighten your skin within 2 weeks of use!

  3. Omorovicza Cleansing Foam ($75 at Nordstrom)
I've heard many good things about this brand but never get to try their products out yet. My current cleansing foam is running out so I'm lookng forward to give this one a try.

  4. Calvin Klein 'Endless Euphoria' Perfume ($69 at Sephora)
I happened to smell it from a Cosmopolitan magazine and I was stunned by how good it smells - light floral that's not too overwhelmingly feminine.

  5. YSL 'Gloss Volupte' Lip Gloss ($32 at Nordstrom)
I've been wanting to get my hands on this for a while. Hopefully I'll get a chance to pick some shades up the next time I visit NYC.

  6. Jo Malone Michale Angove Orange Blossom Scent Surround Diffuser ($85 at Saks)
As a Jo Malone fan, this is a must-have for me! My current Jo Malone diffuser is running out, so this is going on to my to-buy list :)

  7. Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X ($449 at Sephora)
It's going to be summer soon and it's not OK to be lazy to shave my legs anymore. This tool seems like a nice way to get the result of a hair removal laser treatment at home.

  8. Lancome Lip Lover ($23 at Sephora)
I've been eyeing this for a while. Hopefully I won't't forget to add this to my basket the next time I go to Sephora!
