Many Korean brands have released their F/W makeup collection featuring glossy lipsticks, and one of them is Innisfree. Innisfree Creammellow lipstick is formulated to provide moisture and glossy finish with shades that are Fall-appropriate. As a person with chapped lips, I was really looking forward to try this out. Keep reading if you're interested in how it turns out for me!
The Creammellow lipstick claims to provide glossy finish and vivid color
while moisturizing your lips through hours of wear. Currently, there
are 10 shades available. Unlike Innisfree's other lipsticks, this comes
in a rose gold tube instead of silver. But, the external packaging is still the usual
matte white with the color band at the bottom. It's very simple and
practical with an eco feel. I find this gets messy too easily although it
is pretty easy to clean. The color band is a very useful indication of
shade.
Important note: According to Innisfree, the right way to apply this lipstick is to screw up only a little bit (like 3 mm) and apply on the lips. If you screw up too much of the product, it may break! So, be extra careful with this.
I picked 3 colors that are recommended by Innisfree - No. 3 Cream Coral, No.8 Moistfull Dewy Red, and No. 9 Blueberry Burgundy (translated by Jolse). They are three very different colors so I got some diversity here lol. I'm glad I didn't go full on pinks like I normally do. I just want to experience a wider range of lipstick shades :)
#3 크림 코랄 Cream Coral is a milky pink coral. This is the most unforgiving shade out of the three. It is a very pretty shade but it can accentuate dry lips a bit. This is my favorite as expected, and I think I'll reach out for this quite often. When it fades, it does look a bit blotchy, but nothing a lip balm can't easily fix.
#8 촉촉 물 먹은 레드 Moistfull Dewy Red is a classic red. It is the shade Yoona wears in the ad. However, this is not as opaque as it is shown. You know that red lipsticks sometimes become messy and migrate out of lip lines, also known as bleeding? Good news is that I didn't notice any significant bleeding with this one even without a lip liner or primer. Also, it doesn't accentuate dry flakes or lip lines. #8 survives through meal the best - you just need a bit of touch-up and you're good to go.
#9 불루베리 버건디 Blurberry Burgundy is a plum-burgundy shade. This is my first time trying out this kind of shade and it's quite nice. Plum-ish shade can sometimes look weird on Asian skin tone but this is not. This is my second favorite out of the two :) It doesn't accentuate dry flakes or lip lines as well.
The Creammellow lipstick has a glossy finish and a somewhat sticky texture. But, thank god it doesn't feel sticky on the lips - it feels light and comfortable. I feel that this slides on better if you exfoliate well. If you have trouble applying this, try doing so in short strokes. I don't hate the texture, but I just wish that the product would glide on a bit easier. Pigmentation-wise, it is quite pigmented and covers natural lip color completely. Just a little rant - the official swatches from Innisfree are quite misleading. I thought the product would be more opaque and glossy due to that. Oh, well, official swatches are usually not accurate anyway (sigh). What I really like about this lipstick is that it's long lasting and hydrating. It doesn't dry my lips out. So, Innisfree sure succeeds in that aspect.
QUICK TAKE
- Pigmented, but not as opaque as shown in the official swatches
- Moisturizing
- Glossy finish and high shine
- Somewhat sticky texture but doesn't feel sticky on lips
- Long-lasting
- Doesn't dry out lips
- #3 is quite unforgiving while the other two doesn't accentuate dry flakes/lip lines
- #8 survives through meal the best
Overall, although I'm not totally impressed with the texture, this is a nice product for people with chapped lips who need hydration throughout the day. Plus, the glossy finish can conceal dry flakes and lip lines. With that, I can understand why Innisfree released this for Fall, when temperature is dropping and lips become dry easily.

Wow, the promotion pictures are indeed really misleading. :| I was hoping for #8 to show up as pigmented as what Yoona is wearing but at least the lippies are moisturizing! Thank you for the review. :)
