A'Pieu Kissable Tint Stick 'CR01' and 'PK01' Review & Swatches

It sure has been a while since my last review post! My job hunt is finally over, so I'm back to the regular blogging routine :) Last Wednesday was a very special day because it was my 1st blog anniversary! So, happy belated birthday to Pastel Boulevard! To celebrate this occasion, I splurged on some new lippies which I will show you once they arrive. Now, let's move on to today's review on A'Pieu Kissable Tint Stick. It is one of my favorite lip products of all time so I'm excited to talk about it with you guys.

A'Pieu Kissable Tint Stick is a lip tint in a stick form. It claims to provide lips with moisture, shine, and a beautiful hint of color. It has SPF14 / PA+ so it will protect your lips from the sun. There are 5 shades available - as indicated by the picture above, each shade varies in color intensity and tinting power. The shades I have are PK01 and CR01. They have similar color intensity but PK01 performs better in tinting department.

The packaging is totally girly and adorable. The plastic tube is light pink in color and has cute floral pattern all over. Over time, the product name printed in silver on the tube will disappear, but the floral pattern lasts very well. As you can see here, the product name is gone while the pattern is still strongly intact on the tube of PK01 (on the right) which I have been using for almost a year. On the left is CR01 which I recently purchased.

Just in case you're wondering, I somehow didn't screw the bullet all the way up when I took the photo. There is much more product than what is shown here.

PK01 is a hot pink shade, and CR01 is a coral shade. Both would look great on any skin tone. The tint stick has a texture and consistency of a tinted lip balm. I would say this is more like a tinted lip balm than a lip tint since it gives a balm-like feel when applied. It is lightweight and non-sticky. While natural lip color slightly peeks through, this product is considered pigmented for its kind. One layer is sufficient for natural look, but it is build-able for more intense wash of color. This can be used on no-makeup days if applied lightly. The tint stick has a sweet scent that reminds me of a strawberry flavored candy - it's not overpowering and doesn't linger around.

It glides on easily and doesn't accentuate dry patches or lip lines. It plumps up the lips and make them look healthier with glossy finish. The product is moisturizing and doesn't dry out lips during wear. You don't have to apply a lip balm beforehand but you can do so if you have very chapped lips and want extra moisture. It wears well for about 3-4 hours (less with drinking and eating) before the color and moisture start to fade beautifully into a deep pink tint that leaves lips looking lively. The reapplication is very easy as the tint stick is hydrating and applies smoothly.

QUICK TAKE

  • Hydrating, non-drying
  • Pigmented for balm-like product
  • Lightweight and non-sticky
  • Glossy finish
  • Color intensity is build-able
  • Glides on easily
  • Doesn't accentuate dry patches or sink into lip lines
  • Hassle-free touch-up
  • Quite long-lasting
  • Leaves lips with beautiful pink tint once faded

A'Pieu Kissable Tint Stick has been my go-to tinted lip balm and a staple in my purse for a long time. I highly recommend it to anyone that loves low-maintenance product. It is affordable while the quality and performance are impressive. I don't usually finish up a lip product since I'm a lipstick hoarder, so the fact that I'm using this for over a year says a lot about how amazing it is. If you're looking for an everyday lip product, definitely give this a try!

  2. Happy blog anniversary!
I've seen a few reviews on these tint sticks, and they're fairly cheap. But I haven't seen them available on some of my go-to stores. I might consider getting these once I'm off my no-buy~ I think the SPF will make it great for summer, for that extra protection.

Thank you for the review :)

  3. Wow, they look so pretty on your lips! I do wish it had an extra bit of pigmentation, but since it's a balm I can't ask for much :P

  4. Gorgeous! I used to think that most asian lippies tend to be sheerer without meaning to be but now there are so many 'tints' that are sooo pigmented! I would love to own the pink one, I do appreciate sheer color that is super low maintenance!

  9. It is sheer by lipstick standard but it's quite pigmented for a balm product :D They actually look more vivid in person.

  16. I tend to opt for lipsticks rather than tints just because I love the good pigmentation but I think the pink tint looks wonderful on you. Definitely moisturizing, they make your lips look very plump and shiny!
