S E O U L (5) : Romantic Spot - N Seoul Tower [N서울타워]

Hey guys! Who else is excited for the upcoming Valentine's Day? When I was in Korea, I felt like everyday I was there was Valentine's Day. The couple culture was huge - you can often see couples showing affection in public and some literally wear identical outfits. I also noticed that there are many romantic spots in Seoul, including one on which I will be talking about today - the N Seoul Tower located on Namsan Mountain. It's famous because of the love locks. Couples come here to lock padlocks with their names written on along the fence of the tower and throw the key away. The legend says doing so will make their love unbreakable. There are similar places with this legend across the world, such as in Paris.

It was my second time at the tower. Last time, I visited it during the day. I came during the night this time so I could see the night view of Seoul and all the lights. The tower is only accessible via cable car (not free), which can carry a lot of people at once so the line moves pretty quickly.

To go up to the observation deck, you'll have to pay extra. I didn't because I thought the view from the base was already amazing. If you don't mind paying more, you can definitely go up. The view from the top is probably much more awesome. There is a fine French restaurant above the deck for anyone on special occasion (or those with lots of money to spend on a meal). For those who are not much into fine dining, there are (a bit) more casual restaurants on the lower floors.

I'm not sure how they put photos in there but it was so cool! I really wonder what's the story behind this.

I just couldn't get enough of Seoul's night view. No wonder why lots of couples come here. It is a very romantic location unlike any other.

Since we just wanted a good pasta for dinner, we went to The Place Dining, an Italian restaurant located on the second floor of the plaza.

I don't think you can see it but next to our table are couple seats facing the window. They were pretty packed while lots of family tables (like mine) were still available. If you just got out of a relationship, this place might ruin your mood lol. Apart from that, the food was great. I loved my Linguine Vongole. My mom's lobster pasta and my sister's broccoli cream sauce were also very delicious. If you like Italian food, I highly recommend this restaurant when you visit N Seoul Tower. The price was not too bad given that you can get a glimpse of Seoul city while enjoying your meal. Of course, the view I got was not as good as what you can get from couple seats. So, if you come with 2 people, definitely ask for a couple seat even if you're not a couple ;)

That's all for today! I'm working on my reviews for the Innisfree Eco Flower Tint Balm and the A'Pieu Kissable Tint Stick, so I'll put them up first if I can get them done soon. Otherwise, you'll see the last part of my Seoul Travelogue next. Until then!

  2. It seriously looks amazing there! The couple seats though... yup quite depressing. I can't wait for the reviews! Especially the Innisfree Eco Flower Tint Balm... I'm completely head over heels for Innisfree.
